President Obama challenged congress today to help him in the fight on gun control during an announcement at the white house this morning. The president is urging three congressional actions.

Thousands without power in Louisiana

Entergy crews in Louisiana are working to restore power to about 5,500 customers in North Louisiana. The outages were caused by the winter weather. They expect power to be restored to most customers by tonight.
