LSU-Alabama ticket demand skyrockets price
BATON ROUGE, LA — The demand in the secondary market for tickets to this weekend's LSU-Alabama football game has made prices skyrocket.
Fans are paying an average of $383 per ticket on the secondary market, making this the most in-demand Alabama home game since the same two teams met in the "Game of the Century" in 2011.
It's also by far the most expensive game in college football this week, clearing the average ticket price for Oregon-Stanford ($183) by an even $200.
According to SeatGeek.com, Alabama sold single game tickets to Saturday's game for $90, meaning that on average, fans are paying more than four times face value for tickets on the secondary market.
As of this moment, the cheapest pair of tickets available for Saturday's game are listed at $155 each in the upper deck behind the south end zone. On the high end, some fans have paid as much as $2,500 per ticket for seats at the 50-yard line.
